Kørebog is a simple mileage logbook for iPhone. You log work trips in your own car, the app calculates your mileage reimbursement, and you can send the month as a PDF or CSV. Here are answers to the questions people ask most.

Getting started
- Download Kørebog from the App Store. It's free and doesn't need an account.
- Choose your market: Denmark or Sweden. This sets your rates and currency, and you choose it once, when you set up the app.
- Add your car with a name and, if you like, its license plate.
- Drive your first trip. The first time you tap Start trip, your iPhone asks whether Kørebog may use your location. Choose While Using the App.
Logging a trip
With GPS
Tap Start trip on the Home screen when you set off. Kørebog measures the distance while the trip is running and shows how good the GPS signal is. You can lock your phone or switch to another app along the way. The app keeps the trip going in the background, and iOS shows a location indicator for as long as the trip is running.
Tap Stop trip when you arrive. You'll see the trip before it's saved: check the distance, fill in from, to, and purpose, and tap Save trip. If the trip is very short (under two minutes or 500 meters), the app asks whether you really want to stop it.
If you don't want to keep the trip, tap Cancel trip and it's deleted.
Manually
Forgot to start the trip, or drove without your phone? Tap Add manually on the Home screen and fill in the date, from, to, distance, and purpose.
Repeating a trip
Driving the same trip again? Go to Trips, swipe left on an earlier trip, and tap Repeat. You can also open the trip and tap Repeat trip. From, to, and purpose are filled in; you check the date and enter the distance.
Purpose
Pick one of the built-in purposes (Client meeting, Office visit, Course, Delivery, or Project work) or type your own. Being specific, for example naming the client you visited, makes the report easier to approve.
Editing or deleting a trip
Go to Trips and tap the trip. Change the date, from, to, distance, or purpose, then tap Save changes. The reimbursement is recalculated.
To delete a trip, swipe left on it in Trips and tap Delete, or open the trip and tap Delete trip. A deleted trip can't be restored.
Export
You export one month at a time:
- Go to Trips.
- Tap Export next to the month you want to send.
- Choose PDF or CSV.
- Choose where the file goes, such as Mail, AirDrop, or Files.
For each trip, the report lists the date, from, to, purpose, car, distance, rate, and reimbursement, with the total distance and total reimbursement at the bottom. In Sweden it also includes odometer readings. A PDF is easiest to send to an employer; a CSV opens in a spreadsheet such as Excel or Numbers.
Every trip in the month is included, so check that none of them are missing details before you export.
Is the report enough for the tax authority?
The report is a summary of your trips. In Denmark, Skattestyrelsen also requires your name, address, and CPR number, and any stops along the way, for the reimbursement to be tax-free. Kørebog's report doesn't include those today, so agree with your employer how to provide them, for example on their own form. In Sweden, check with your employer or Skatteverket what your logbook needs to contain.
Location
Kørebog uses your location only while a trip you started is running. It asks for While Using the App access and never for Always. When the trip stops, location stops too.
If you say no, the app still works. You can start and save trips as usual; you'll just enter the distance yourself.
Changing access
Open Settings → Apps → Kørebog → Location and choose While Using the App. Also turn on Precise Location. Without it, distances can be too inaccurate.
Price and purchases
Kørebog is free to download, and logging trips, the reimbursement amounts, and the monthly PDF and CSV report are free. From version 1.1, Kørebog Premium is an optional one-time in-app purchase that adds the reimbursement voucher and year and custom-period reports. It isn't a subscription, so there's nothing to cancel.
To get Premium back on a new iPhone or after reinstalling, open Settings → Kørebog Premium and tap Restore purchases, signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with. Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple; to ask for a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
Common questions
Does Kørebog log trips automatically?
No. You start and stop each trip yourself. When no trip is running, the app records nothing.
Which rates does the app use?
In Denmark, Skattestyrelsen's 2026 rates: 3.94 kr. per km for a car or motorcycle up to 20,000 km a year, and 2.28 kr. per km after that. In Sweden, Skatteverket's rate of 25 kr per mil (2.50 kr per km). You can see the rates under Settings in the app.
What does “Rate missing” mean?
Kørebog includes rates for 2026. A trip dated in a year the app has no rate for can still be saved, but it isn't ready for export.
Can I switch between Denmark and Sweden?
You choose your market once, when you set up the app, and it can't be changed in the app. If you picked the wrong one, you can delete and reinstall the app, but that also deletes your trips, so export them first.
Can I use Kørebog for a company car?
Kørebog is made for driving your own car and being reimbursed per kilometer. It isn't made for company cars or fleets.
Can I split trips into business and personal?
Not in the current version. Kørebog is for the work trips you're reimbursed for.
Which languages does the app come in?
English, Danish, and Swedish. The app follows your iPhone's language. Rates, currency, and number format follow the market you chose, so a Danish-market user with an English iPhone sees English text with amounts like 3,94 kr.
Does Kørebog work on iPad?
No. Kørebog is made for iPhone and requires iOS 18 or later.
What happens if I get a new phone?
Kørebog doesn't sync your trips itself. They're part of your iPhone's regular backup (iCloud Backup or a backup on your computer), so they come along when you restore a backup to a new iPhone. Exporting each month also gives you your own copy.
What happens if I delete the app?
Your trips, cars, and settings are deleted from the phone. We don't have a copy to restore from.
Troubleshooting
The distance looks wrong
GPS can be inaccurate in tunnels, parking garages, and between tall buildings. Kørebog tells you if the signal was unstable. Check the distance before you save and correct it if it's off. Also make sure Precise Location is on for Kørebog.
It says “Location is off”
Kørebog doesn't have access to your location. You can still save the trip and enter the distance yourself. For GPS measuring, give access as described under Location.
It says “No GPS signal”
The phone hasn't found a position yet. This usually happens indoors or right after the trip starts. Keep driving; measuring begins once there's a signal.
The app closed during a trip
The next time you open Kørebog, it asks: “Was this trip finished?” You can finish the trip now, continue it, or delete it.
A trip is marked “Missing details”
The trip is missing its date, route, distance, or purpose. Open it under Trips, fill in what's missing, and save.
It says “Data can't be saved permanently”
The app couldn't open its storage and is running in temporary mode. New trips may be lost when the app closes. Restart the app. If that doesn't help, email us.
The export failed
Try again. If it happens again, restart the app and check that your iPhone has free storage. If it still doesn't work, email us.
Privacy
Kørebog has no account, and the app doesn't send your trips to any server. Read how the app uses location and data in our privacy policy.
