How do I log a trip?

Three ways:

  • Start / Stop: tap Start when you begin driving and Stop when you arrive. Kørebog uses GPS to measure the distance while the trip is running.
  • Add manually: if you forgot to start the app, add the trip afterward with the date, route, and distance.
  • Duplicate a trip: if you drive the same route often, repeat a previous trip in one tap and just confirm the date and distance.

Can I edit or delete a trip?

Yes. Open any trip from your trip history to change the date, route, distance, purpose, or vehicle, or to delete it. Deleting a trip cannot be undone.

Does Kørebog classify trips as business or personal?

Not yet. Every trip you log today is treated the same way — there isn't a separate business/private toggle in the current version.

How does Kørebog calculate what a trip is worth?

Kørebog applies your country's official mileage rate to the distance you recorded, automatically, based on your vehicle type. Rates come from the relevant tax authority for the market you've selected in the app (currently Denmark or Sweden).

Can I export a report or a CSV file?

Not yet. You can review, edit, and total your trips in the app at any time, but a built-in PDF or CSV export isn't available in the current version. It's planned for a future update.

What does Kørebog use my location for?

Only to measure the distance of a trip you start yourself. Kørebog asks for "While Using the App" location access the first time you tap Start — never before, and never for "Always" access. If you decline or later turn location off, you can still log trips manually and enter the distance yourself.

Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

My trip's distance looks wrong. What happened?

Distance is estimated from GPS while a trip is active, so a weak signal (tunnels, parking garages, dense buildings) can affect accuracy. Kørebog shows a signal-quality indicator on the trip, and you can always correct the distance by hand afterward — nothing is locked once GPS has recorded it.

I forgot to stop a trip, or the app closed while I was driving. What happens to it?

If Kørebog is closed or interrupted while a trip is running, it recovers the unfinished trip the next time you open the app and asks whether the trip was finished, should continue, or should be discarded. Nothing is silently lost.

Do I need an account?

No. Kørebog has no sign-up, no login, and no account of any kind. Your trips are tied to your iPhone, not to an identity we manage.

Where is my data stored?

On your iPhone only. Kørebog doesn't use a server, doesn't sync to iCloud, and doesn't upload your trips anywhere. See the Privacy Policy for the full explanation.

Is there a paid version?

Kørebog is currently free to use. If that changes, this page and the app's Settings screen will say so clearly, and any purchase will be handled by Apple's standard App Store purchase system.

Which countries and languages does Kørebog support?

Kørebog is currently built for Denmark (Danish interface, Danish kroner, Danish mileage rates) and Sweden (Swedish interface, Swedish kronor, Swedish mileage rates). You choose your market in the app during setup.

How do I contact support?

Email riznewhite@gmail.com and describe what you were doing when the issue happened, plus your iPhone model and iOS version if it's a technical problem. We read every message.
